GU▽PO loved expressing him self, while entertaining others. He started acting, singing & dancing at show cases at the age of 5. His artistic career began as a child actor in local theater back in Costa Rica. He began playing his favorite instrument, the drums, in his school's band at the age of 8. By the time GU▽PO was 11 he left his loved ones behind and chose to move to the United States, in hopes to pursue his career as a professional artist. As a teen he attended Shaker Academy, in Cleveland OH, where he was technically trained. While in high school he showcased his talents in numerous traveling off-Broadway plays & talent shows. GU▽PO graduated high school with honors and was awarded the most outstanding student in the art department.

After training & working with some of the best in the business, GU▽PO has continued on his lifes journey. Fulfilling his purpose, combining all his gifts & sharing them with the world. GUVPO formed his band, built his own creative studio & started his business.

He plans to use his light to bring joy, hope & incredible art to the Universe.

GU▽PO is currently in Los Angeles CA, recording his new project.

He moved to New York after high school to further his training & education. He graduated top of his class from The Art Institute of New York City with a major in graphic design. During college he began working as a merchandiser/buyer in fashion, at the same time interning at Warner Brothers visual design department as a designer. By the time he graduated from college he was signed by several agencies, enabling him to curate an artistic career as a dancer, actor & model in New York city. He professionally trained at BDC, Steps and Alvin Ailey under creatives like Rhapsody James, Jermaine Browne, Luam and more. After 5 years of successfully developing a commercial career in NY, he moved to Los Angeles, California to create the next chapter of his artistic journey. To make ends meet, he transitioned working as a choreographer. His artistry led him back in to his love for acting when he landed a lead role in Los Angeles, as an actor in a show.

GU▽PO's artistry has given him the opportunity to work with artist such as Madonna, Kanye West, Jlo, Pharell, Diddy, just to name a few. He has appeared in many commercials. Has modeled & been featured on national/international campaigns for major brands such as Samsung, Coach, Pepsi, Nokia, New Era, Hasbro, and Disney/Pixar. He has also worked in TV & films projects like Step Up 3D, Ugly Betty, The Good Wife and more.

Gu▽PO is strong believer that we are in charge of the light that we all carry with in. Is with this light that our path through life is illuminated with.

Believe, trust & Love your light, for it’s the only thing that will guarantee us a brighter Future.

GU▽PO was born in San Jose, Costa Rica. He lived his childhood on the caribbean coast of Limón and in the capital of San Jose. It is a magical place where the national mantra is to celebrate life in its entire purity. ‘PURA VIDA’. It is everywhere! The celebration of Life, Nature, Music, and Movement. This ambiance was infused in him from an early age. He intuitively gravitated towards anything that was fueled by art & was always fascinated by the beauty & design surrounding him. Growing up in that beautiful mixture of latin and caribbean culture, lead him to discover his purpose at an early age.
